Description
Agapanthus Headbourne Hybrids - These English hybrids appear to be somewhat hardier than other varieties. It is variable in color, but mostly dark violet blue and very vigorous; 2'-4'; 1950-1960; winter hardiness zone 7-10; bareroot.

We've seen these perform like crazy in California gardens. They are relatively new to us and are not sure exactly what makes them happy and bloom prolifically, but will keep planting and trialing and will hopefully discover the secrets. If they perform lusciously for you, we'd love to hear about your gardening situation. They seem to take AT LEAST a season to get used to their new home - and maybe they need cool summer nights, which are rare here! A rosette of strap-like leaves surround 1"-2" long, trumpet-shaped blooms clustered on top of 18"-48" stems; perfect for a full sun, well-drained site.
