Description
Amsonia Blue Ice is compact and has steel blue flowers that bloom late spring to early summer; low maintenance and easy to grow; full sun to part shade; drought and critter resistant; 12"-18"; winter hardiness zone 4-9; plug.

Native to light woodland or grassland areas of SE Europe, Japan, Turkey and NE and Central United States.  They are clump-forming perennials with narrow, alternate leaves and clusters of blue, 5 petaled flowers.  The willow shaped foliage turns yellow in the fall as the leaves on the trees begin to change.  The best fall color occurs in full sun.  Will not be available to ship until mid April.

Our pollinators are so important to the sustainability of our gardens and food crops for insect and birds and if each of us participates in healthy gardening practices and chooses some of the pollinator attracting plants, we can collectively make a HUGE difference.
