Description
Dahlia Thomas A. Edison is a decorative type dahlia; 6"-8" dark purple flowers with an even darker center; green foliage; 3'-4'. Native to Mexico and Central America, dahlias provide us with more pleasure than almost any other summer bulbs. They produce an abundance of wonderful flowers perfect for ‘gift giving flower arrangements’ throughout early summer and again in late summer until frost. If they are picked for arrangements, these ‘cut and come again’ plants require almost no care and come in a myriad of colors. They are happiest in full sun but will tolerate light shade. Top-sized tuber clusters; approximately 1 per square foot; winter hardiness zone 7 gardens with extra winter mulch and excellent drainage among our daffodils and tulips; most flowers are 2”-3” across and plants are 1’-2’ tall unless otherwise stated; top sized clustered tubers.
