rehmanii - deep to soft pink flowers, blending to the white throat, contrasting boldly with its rich green foliage; a beauty in our garden; zone 7-10.
Well known as a graceful cut flower especially in eloquent, large flower arrangements, what may not be known about this plant is its adaptability. We have grown them successfully in a flower border along with other bulbs and perennials, but it also grows happily at water's edge or even potted up and submersed - pot and all - in the shallow end of our pond. Native to South Africa, its graceful, vase like flowers bloom from mid through late summer; 18-30"; zones 7-10, except where noted; 14+ cm bulbs.
