Description
christophii - (albopilosum) lots of loosely formed, starry, silvery amethyst flowers compressed to make one large, round spidery head about the size of a softball; spectacular cut flower and amazing coming up through hostas, ornamental grasses or other perennials; one of the earliest to bloom; 12"-20"; whz 3-8; early summer; 1901; (12+cm). (I'm sorry, we are not allowed to ship this item to IDAHO)

Ornamental onions perform beautifully, blooming late spring through early summer; they add a different, spectacular or architectural dimension to the garden; many suitable for Heirloom gardens and sunny, well-drained meadow; also wonderful cut and dried flowers; Giant (volleyball-softball), 1 per sq. ft.; Large (baseball-tennis ball), 5 per sq. ft.; Small(golf ball - marble), 10 per sq. ft.; whz4-8.

Our pollinators are so important to the sustainability of our gardens and food crops for insect and birds and if each of us participates in healthy gardening practices and chooses some of the pollinator attracting plants, we can collectively make a HUGE difference.
