In order for bulbs to thrive, they must be planted before the ground freezes. Both Brent and Becky recommend that only those planting in zones 7, 8, 9 and 10 order bulbs this late in the season.

If you decide to place an order, be aware that your order will not be shipped until the beginning to mid-December.

Description
'Eveline' - a ball type; although its flower's buds are pink, it matures to an antique white with tips of each petal brushed with a pale pinkish lavender; 2'-3'.

Group 6 - Ball type Fully double blooms, ball shaped or slightly flattened. The ray florets blunt or rounded at the tips, with margins spirally arranged and rolled for more than half the length of the florets.

Native to Mexico and Central America, dahlias provide us with more pleasure than almost any other summer bulb.  They produce an abundance of wonderful flowers perfect for 'gift giving flower arrangements' throughout early summer and again in late summer until frost. If they are picked for arrangements, these 'cut and come again' plants require almost no care, they appear to be pest resistant and they come in a myriad of colors. They are happiest in full sun but will tolerate light shade. Top-sized tuber clusters; approx. 1 per sq. ft.; whz 8-10; have overwintered in our whz 7 gardens with extra winter mulch and excellent drainage among our daffodils and tulips; most flowers are 2"-3" across and plants are 1'-2' tall unless otherwise stated; top-sized clustered tubers.
