Description
Stargazer - very popular and famous lily; a fragrant, dark raspberry red with creamy white edge.

The most adored bulb group in the summer garden, it offers almost as many color variations as the tulip and is also a great cut flower. Many forms, sizes, heights, bloom times as well as color are available. Wide and narrow funnel-shaped, six petaled flowers bloom on long straight stems which decorate the early summer garden like not other plant. Some upfacing, downfacing and outfacing; planted in the same beds as daffodils and tulips, they extend the spring blooming season into summer. These long lived perennials are terrific garden plants as well as cut flowers. They thrive in full sun as well as in partial shade and in well-drained soil. Asiatics tend to bloom early summer and Orientals bloom later in the summer. (16+cm bulbs unless otherwise noted) 2 to 3 per sq. ft., 2'-3' tall; whz 3-10. Also sold in our Summer Catalogue.

Our pollinators are so important to the sustainability of our gardens and food crops for insect and birds and if each of us participates in healthy gardening practices and chooses some of the pollinator attracting plants, we can collectively make a HUGE difference.
