Description
Paeonia Itoh Duchesse de Lorraine - the first fully double yellow itoh peony; fragrant; bomb-type bright yellow flowers with as many as 120 petals per bloom! 28"-32"; 3-5 eye; bareroot. Photo credit Planteck

Itoh (or intersectional hybrid) peonies were developed by crossing herbaceous peonies with tree peonies to offer the best qualities of both Itoh peonies offer herbaceous growth habit, stronger stems, large long-lasting blooms, critter resistant and do not attract ants.  The variety was propogated by tissue culture.  The roots you will receive may not be ready to bloom next year but will quickly grow into healthy, large plants covered in blooms.  Full sun to part shade; bloom mid-late spring; winter hardiness zone 3-8.
