Description
tulip Diablo is taller than most Greigii tulips at 12"-14"; creamy white exterior with red flames; interior shows yellow centers with a red rim and black accents; early-mid spring.

The peacocks and parrots of the bulb world, tulips offer are more sizes, shapes and colors than you can imagine for any type of garden design scheme. Divided into 15 divisions usually depending on shape, bloom time or heritage.Plant 4x their height deep (8"-10" for regular sized tulips; 4"-6" for small tulips); 12+cm bulbs unless otherwise noted. GREIGII TULIPS are defined by the RGBA as: "Tulipa greigii with her cultivars, subspecies, varieties and hybrids, which resemble T. greigii. Mostly with mottled or striped foliage, flowering later than kaufmanniana. Leaves spreading normally on the ground, mostly strongly undulated. Flower shape variable." Greigii tulips are an exceptional landscape value, even when they're not in bloom, because their foliage is like having beautiful, unusual hostas in the garden. One of the best for bedding, patio containers, and in combination with mid spring daffodils, Anemones and Hyacinths; whz 3-8.
